Our manuscript ‘Ultrafast Hole Spin Qubit with Gate-Tunable Spin-Orbit Switch‘ got accepted for publication Nature Nanotechnology. In this work we demonstrate for the first time a hole spin qubit defined in a Ge/Si core/shell nanowire quantum dot. We implement ultrafast coherent qubit control with 1 ns spin-flipping times. Moreover, we demonstrate the workings of a ‘spin-orbit switch’, by showing a large degree of electrical control over the qubit’s Rabi frequency, coherence time, and g-factor.
